Ramona Etsitty
Lead mason, flagstone and courtyards
Ramona lays stones on the ground first and moves them until the joints read right. She runs the patio and path crews.
Owner and master mason
Sherrod runs the crew, lays out every wall and sets the first and last courses himself.
Hawthorne Stone Masons is a five-mason crew working from a yard on Siler Road. We build with natural stone only, and we take on a few jobs at a time so the people who quote the work are the people who build it.
On each job Sherrod walks the site with the homeowner, draws the wall or the patio on the ground, and sets the stone with the crew. He answers the phone on site when he can.

How we work
No cast block, no stamped concrete and no dyed pavers. If it is not cut or split from the ground, we do not sell it as stone.
A wall is only as good as what it sits on. We dig, compact and drain before the first stone goes down.
The quote lists the stone, the scope and the people on site. If the scope changes, we tell you before we go on.
The crew
Evaristo, Leonel and Graciela speak Spanish. If you would rather talk in Spanish, ask for one of them when you call.
